Terms of Service

Welcome to Lumen (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Lumen Labs ("we" or "us"). These Terms form an agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Service.

By registering an account, logging in, or otherwise using the Service in any way, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Minors should read these Terms together with a guardian and obtain the guardian's consent before using the Service.

The Service is an AI-based image generation and editing tool, with features including but not limited to text-to-image generation, reference-based image editing, multi-resolution output, and related supporting tools.

The Service evolves continuously. Specific features, generation quality, style presets, and consumption rules may change with each version, and we will notify you via in-app notice, email, or updates to this page.

You must provide true, accurate, and complete registration information (including a valid email address). One email may register only one account.

You should keep your account credentials safe. You are responsible for account theft or information leaks caused by your own actions. If you discover unauthorized use of your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].

You may request to close your account at any time. After closure, all data associated with the account (including creation history and remaining credits) will be permanently deleted after 30 days and cannot be recovered.

You agree not to use the Service for any of the following:

• Generating or distributing content that violates the laws and regulations of your country or region, including political, violent, pornographic, or terrorism-related content
• Generating content that infringes others' rights of portrait, reputation, privacy, or intellectual property
• Creating false information, deepfaking others' likeness, or using it for fraud, harassment, or defamation
• Generating inappropriate content involving minors
• Reverse-engineering the Service, mass scraping with crawlers, bypassing the billing mechanism, or attacking system stability
• Using the Service's output to train other AI models (without written permission)

We reserve the right to immediately block and delete violating content, and to warn, restrict features, or permanently ban violating accounts, and to cooperate with law enforcement in investigations.

Your input

The copyright in the prompts you enter, the source images you upload, and the parameters you set belongs to you. To provide the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited license used solely for the technical processing necessary to operate the Service.

AI-generated results

Subject to these Terms, you have commercial and non-commercial rights to use images generated through the Service. We do not claim copyright over AI-generated content, but we cannot guarantee it will not resemble others' prior rights; you should assess the risk of use yourself.

Public sharing

If you share your work to the Lumen "Gallery" community, you are deemed to consent to our non-exclusive display of that work on-site and in marketing (with attribution, and you may withdraw the display at any time).

The Service charges on a credit basis. The specific consumption rules and package pricing are as shown on the pricing page at the time. Credits purchased as a one-time payment are valid permanently, with no expiration.

Purchasing credits is deemed acceptance of the current price. We reserve the right to adjust the unit price of future packages, but we will not retroactively change the unit price or availability of credits you have already purchased.

Credits are for use within this account only. They cannot be gifted, withdrawn, or exchanged for legal tender.

• If no credits have been used within 7 days of purchase: full refund available
• If partially used: remaining credits are calculated at the unit price at purchase, and the remaining portion is refundable
• Charges for generations that failed due to system errors: credits are returned automatically, no application needed
• If your account is banned for violating these Terms: remaining credits are non-refundable

Submit refund requests via our support email [email protected], and we will process them within 5 business days.

We may change or suspend some features for operational, technical upgrade, or compliance reasons. We will notify you of major changes at least 7 days in advance via email or in-app notice.

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your use of the Service. If the Service is permanently terminated, we will refund or provide equivalent compensation for unused credits in your account in a reasonable manner.

The Service is provided "as is." AI-generated content is produced by algorithms based on your input and may be inaccurate, untrue, or not meet your expectations; we make no warranty as to the fitness of generated results for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our cumulative liability to you is capped at the fees you actually paid in the 12 months before the claim.

We are not liable for breach due to service unavailability caused by force majeure.

The formation, interpretation, performance, and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan).

For any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, the parties should first negotiate in good faith; if negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before a competent People's Court at our principal place of business.

We may update these Terms due to laws and regulations or product evolution. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an effective date; for major changes, we will additionally remind you via email or in-app notice. Continuing to use the Service is deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.
